Your Hamburg Chrysler Dealer Gives You 5 Winter Driving Tips to Keep Your Beat This Season

If the chilly early morning air hasn't already clued you in, winter is most certainly on the way to Hamburg, NY. Not only are temperatures going to dip, but we're due for a few dumps of snow in no time. So here at Towne Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram we thought we'd give you five helpful tips to winterize your vehicle.

  1. You Can See Clearly Now... but what about when the white stuff starts falling? Sure it seems like common sense. However, even a couple of the folks at our Chrysler dealer have forgotten to replace the wipers before it was too late. Make sure you have fresh ones ready to go.

  2. The Heat is On in the house and in the garage, so make sure you're prepped for subzero temps. If you have an engine block heater kicking around, dig it out so it's accessible when you want it. Of course, no need to use it until we drop down below 5 degrees.

  3. Double Vision doesn't help anyone at the wheel. Avoid extra scraping in the morning by adding de-icer to the outside of your windshield. If you add a little dose to the inside, too, you'll reduce the amount fog you get when you first start the car.

  4. Get Ready by stocking your vehicle with a shovel, extra scrapers, and spare oil and fluids.

  5. It's Electric and it's the beating heart of your car. Make sure your battery is up to snuff before it really starts to cool off in the Buffalo area.
