Chrysler Group LLC Holds Design Contest for High School Students

What event lead you to your passion? It may have been something you picked up on a whim, something a childhood hero of yours inspired in you, or perhaps it was the loving push of a parent. For some, it may have been a contest that allowed them to spread their wings, and that's exactly what Chrysler Group LLC is hoping to do with the Autorama High School Design Competition 2014 being held for Michigan high school students for the rest of the year.

As the second annual, this Autorama competition urges students at a Michigan high school to design a vehicle that is both eco-friendly and meets the wants and needs of young drivers in the United States. Allowed to draw inspiration from the current Chrysler Group lineup of brands - Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Truck, FIAT, and SRT - there's sure to be an immeasurable surge of creativity from these students.

Being held until January 10th, 2014, the winners will be decided on the 31st of the same month by designers from Chrysler Group Product Design and faculty from the College for Creative Studies (CCS). Two winners - first and second place - will be decided for each grade level and prizes will vary from grade to grade. One prize that shows up across the board are iPads or iPad Minis as well as passes to the Detroit Autorama, so everyone will have a good reason to enter!

Competition rules and information can be found on the official Facebook page, so check that out if you're interested.
